Connectify HR, a Des Moines-based professional employer organization launched last year, announced it has selected HealthPartners UnityPoint Health as its health insurance provider and is sponsoring a new health plan for small to midsize businesses that will start in July. As a PEO, Connectify HR provides small to midsize businesses with human resources services and technology resources. The new health insurance plan, which will be available to Iowa-based clients, will offer an open access network that includes every hospital in Iowa and 97% of the care providers in the state. It will also offer medication therapy management, a prescription shopping tool, nurse navigators and behavioral health navigators. “Our clients grow faster by attracting and retaining great talent,” said Melissa Ness, president and CEO of Connectify HR. “Providing their employees with comprehensive health insurance choices demonstrates their commitment to the overall well-being of their employees and their families. With HealthPartners UnityPoint Health and their strong network, we are excited to offer our clients access to market-leading health benefits usually only available to larger employers.” In July 2021, HealthPartners UnityPoint Health, a joint venture of Minnesota-based HealthPartners and Iowa-based UnityPoint Health, announced it would start offering fully insured health insurance plans to businesses and organizations with fewer than 50 employees.
