Jarden’s dipped into law firm MinterElisonRuddWatts’ M&A team to poach a co-head of investment banking for New Zealand.
Silvana Schenone would join Jarden in the fourth quarter, and share the title with Sam Ricketts, who’s been the firm’s NZ investment banking head since 2014.
Schenone is a partner at MinterElisonRuddWatts and a board member of New Zealand’s Takeovers Panel.
She was Infratil’s legal adviser on AustralianSuper’s unsuccessful takeover bid for the company in 2020. She also advised Macquarie Group on the New Zealand leg of its purchase of AMP Capital’s global equities and fixed income business.
“Silvana is a high-calibre talent with leading expertise and deep market relationships. Her deal experience and exceptional background will enhance our client offering and significantly contribute to our goal to build the leading Australasian investment and advisory firm,” Jarden chief executive James Lee said.
“Silvana, Sam and I will operate as an interconnected senior team ensuring our clients continue to get high-quality advice as we grow.”
