SRINAGAR: Banker scholar, M J Aslam’s three-volume book, Kashmir From Ancient to Present: A socio-cultural and political history, is out in the market. Kashmir publisher, Gulshan Books has published the work.
Aslam, who had a long inning in the banking sector, has had a number of scholarly books on legal matters to his credit. This includes his two-volume book on Law of Contract which was published by Thompson Reuters. Besides, he has co-authored various books on legal affairs with top writers in the legal field, especially on banking laws.
During his long career in the banking sector, Aslam has also headed the JK Bank Staff Training College and has been a prolific writer, being published by most of the media in Jammu and Kashmir. He has been a visiting faculty to various academic institutions with a focus on law and legal studies.
His latest work is a detailed history of Kashmir from ancient times to contemporary Kashmir. It analyses various facets of key developments in different eras.
