Teammates wish Fernandez well
Alvaro Fernandez won United’s reserve team player of the year award last season and he is held in high esteem by his colleagues, who want to see him succeed.
Teammates Charlie McNeill, Shola Shoretire, Marc Jurado, Alejandro Garnacho and Noam Emeran were among those to wish him well – while Hannibal suggested he will be missed.
These are just a few of the messages Fernandez received wishing him well, which highlights how well regarded he is by his peers.
Fernandez has trained with the Manchester United first team and been part of the matchday squad, although is yet to make his debut.
He could be involved in the Preston squad to face Wigan away this weekend as the Championship kicks off, although Fernandez may begin the campaign as back-up to former United talent Robbie Brady.
