The U.S. Treasury Department issued a finding of violation against MidFirst Bank Thursday, stating it took two weeks for the bank to block accounts owned by people who had been sanctioned by the federal government.
In a public notice released Thursday, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control said that in 2020 it placed two individuals on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) list in accordance with the Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferators Sanctions Regulations.
