The pandemic has impacted the health insurance sector both positively and negatively. In a positive sense, awareness of health insurance has gone up multiple times as demand for health products in the industry has grown substantially. On the negative side, the insurance company had products that had not taken into consideration the pandemic scenario when it came to the health insurance part. At the same time, as the economy slowly recovers to that of the pre-pandemic period, insurers across India and abroad will face several emerging challenges, but at the same time, they will also witness many new opportunities in the medium to long term.
