Accused Piyush Sonkusre fled with four gold rings from the the bullion trader’s shop after stabbing him

Nagpur: An enraged youngster, identified as Piyush Sonkusre, stabbed bullion trader Mahesh Belpande over a dispute pertaining to mortgage amount at the latter’s jewellery shop, near Nandanvan water tank, on Thursday.
Sonkusre was miffed with Belpande for giving “less money” for mortgaging some valuables. Police said an acquaintance of Sonkusre had mortgaged some valuables at Belpande’s shop. Sonkusre wanted Belpande to release the valuables at a lower rate, which the victim was reluctant to return.
Sonkusre had an altercation with Belpande earlier in the day. In order to teach him a lesson, Sonkusre brought a kitchen knife from home and barged into Belpande’s shop before stabbing him.
Nandanvan police have arrested Sonkusre following the incident.
